ABBY THOMPSON

Abby has performed professionally with Milwaukee Repertory Theater, First Stage Theater, African American Children's Theater, Compass Creative Dramatics, Storycatchers Theatre, Filament Theatre, and Albany Park Theater Project. She holds a BA in Acting from Columbia College Chicago. She is a spoken word poet, salsa dancer, and is passionate about movement based performance, verbatim theater, and devising true stories. In 2023, she was named Northlight Theatre's Dreamer in Chief, where she oversaw teaching artists creating an original, devised performance for young audiences. In 2023, Abby was selected as Filament Theatre's SPARK Artist in Residence where she began dramaturgy and devising work of a new theater for young audiences piece, currently being developed further.
